THE Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, under the headship of the Obi of Orodo, Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri, has suspended four members of the council.
 
Announcing their suspension, Ohiri gave their names as Eze Emmanuel Njemanje, a pharmacist and the ruler of Owerri (Ozuruigbi the 5th), Eze DesmondOguguo of Ezinihitte Mbaise, Eze Sunday C. Okoro of Emii autonomous community, Owerri North, and Eze Edwin Njoku of Umuinyi, autonomous community in Isiala Mbano Local Council.
 
According to Ohiri, a five–man panel of investigation had been constituted to investigate the activities of 61 others who, he said, allegedly committed sacrilegious act in the state.
 
Ohiri, the monarch of Obi Orodo, Mbaitoli Local Council, said the suspended monarchs had allegedly accompanied Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, whom he said, had been dethroned by Gov. Rochas Okorocha, a long time ago.
 
He said the suspended monarchs accompanied Ilomuanya to allegedly vandalise and loot property worth millions of naira, during the visit of the immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan, at the secretariat of the council, shortly before the presidential elections.
