The senator, who disclosed this in a condolence message to the Chairman of the Plateau State Council of Chiefs, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, said that the death of the Ngolong Ngas was the more painful because “he was cut down by the cold hands of death in his prime.”
While stating that the news of the traditional ruler’s demise came to him as a great shock, he noted that Nde Dimlong was “a true royal father to the Ngas nation, who played a key role in the Plateau State Traditional Council, which positively impacted on the overall socio–economic development of the state.”
Jang, in a statement by his Personal Assistant/Media Aide, Mr. Chris Gyang, recalled that during his tenure as governor, he worked very closely with the late royal father during which he exhibited great passion in the pursuit of peace at crises periods. He pointed out that, during his seventeen – year reign, “he brought a very mature vibrancy into the traditional institution.”
