Jigawa gov appoints Head of Service, 33 other officials

JIGAWA State Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Tahir as the state Head of Service.

JIGAWA State Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Tahir as the state Head of Service.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Malam Bello M. Zaki.

Before his appointment, Tahir had served as a Permanent Secretary in the Civil Service Commission, Ministry of Health and Permanent Secretary, Administration and General Services at the office of the Head of Service. He is a member of the National Institute of Policy and Strategies Studies, Kuru.

The governor has also approved the appointments of Alhaji Idi Bukar as Chairman of Manpower Development Institute, with Mohammed Musa Gumel as Director General. Other members of the institute are Aminu Zakari, Abbas Mohammed, Sabo Adamu, Abdu Social, Umar Faruk and Umma Kiyawa.

In a related development, Badaru also approved the appointment of Alhaji Ali Yahaya Jahun as Chairman Jigawa Pilgrims Welfare Board while Malam Abubakar Jibrin, Dr. Muhammad Haruna, Sabo Sha’aibu, Malam Kabiru Kaugama, Isa Musa Miga and Hajiya Rabi Abdullahi will serve as members of the board.

The statement also said that Alhaji Mu’azu Atafi Hadejia has been appointed as the Executive Secretary, Jigawa State Independent Electoral Commission (JSIEC) while Usman Sambo and Idi Nanumawa will serve as commissioners of the commission.

Other appointments include that of Ibrahin Ahmed Mohammed Sani as chairman, Jigawa State Board of Internal Revenue while Abdullahi Yunusa is the new Director General State Education Inspectorate and Monitoring Unit (SEIMU).

Alhaji Bala ’Yargaba is the new Managing Director, Dutse Capital Development Agency (DCDA), while Hauwa Birniwa is appointed as Special Assistant Women Empowerment, with Yelwa Dau Tijjani as Special Adviser, Political (Women Affairs). Special Adviser on Interparty Relations is Bala Idi Kazaure while Special Duties II is Abdulrashid Illa Ringim.

The governor also approved the appointment of Dahiru Dau as Special Adviser, Political And Assembly Matters, Mujitaba Sale Kwalam as Special Adviser Religious Affairs and Sharia Implementation, Ibrahim Isma’il, Special Adviser, Adult and Higher Education while Colonel (rtd) Mohammed Alasan is appointed as Special Adviser, Security Matters.

Other appointments are Usman Na-Allah as Special Adviser, Revenue and Investment; Ibrahim Baba Chaichai as Special Adviser, Dutse Capital Development Agency; Sabi’u Musa as the Special Adviser Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation and Khaloma Dahiru Mustapha is appointed as Special Adviser Intergovernmental Affairs.
