Jinya Eid Fest 2025: Lagos gears up for grand Eid celebration
As Ramadan draws to a close, Lagos is set to host one of its most anticipated Islamic celebrations—Jinya Eid Fest 2025. Organised by the Jama-at-ul Islamiyya of Nigeria Youth Association, Lagos Branch, the festival will take place on March 31, 2025, at Campos Mini-Stadium, Lagos Island.
With a mission to blend tradition, community spirit, and modern festivity, Jinya Eid Fest 2025 promises a vibrant day filled with food, music, games, networking opportunities, and cultural showcases.
Eid-ul-Fitr is a time for gratitude, unity, and reflection. Jinya Eid Fest embodies these values, creating a welcoming space for people from all walks of life to celebrate and forge new connections.
“Eid is about love, reflection, and community,” said Abdulrasaq Akanni Mohammed, Chairman of the Organising Committee. “With this festival, we aim to amplify those values through joy, laughter, and shared experiences.”
From 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM, the Campos Mini-Stadium will come alive with exciting activities, including:
- Culinary Delights – Attendees can indulge in an array of dishes, from jollof rice and suya to Middle Eastern shawarma and traditional sweets like kunafeh. A beverage zone will feature fresh juices, zobo, and artisanal mocktails.
- Nasheed Performances – Acclaimed artists will perform Nasheed (Islamic devotional music), blending traditional rhythms with contemporary sounds.
- Family-Friendly Fun – Children and adults can enjoy face-painting, trivia contests, board games, and a mini carnival zone featuring inflatable play areas and prizes.
- Networking and Community Building – The festival will host dedicated lounges for professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to connect, exchange ideas, and collaborate.
- Artisan Markets and Charity Drives – Local vendors will showcase handmade crafts, fashion, and Eid-themed décor, with a portion of proceeds supporting charitable causes in the spirit of Eid’s generosity.
With tickets priced at just ₦3,500, Jinya Eid Fest is designed to be accessible to all. Early bird discounts and group packages ensure that families and larger groups can participate.
