MEDIA practitioners have commended Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole for restoring confidence in governance. They also called for a more practical approach to the development of the state’s health sector.
 
The commendation and demand were made during the weekend in Benin City at an event tagged: “Mayaki’s Roundtable with Friends in the Media, with the theme: Reporters’ View of Edo State under Governor Adams Oshiomhole.”

At the session moderated by a former Assistant Editor-in-Chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Celsus Ohain and which had over 70 journalists in attendance, the participants agreed that the Oshiomhole-led government had redefined politics in the state just as they stressed the need for improvement, urging his successor to build on the governor’s legacy, especially in the area of infrastructure, policy formulation and responsible governance.
