Kachikwu gets African leadership award

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, has received the Burj Chief Executive Officer (CEO) African Leadership Award category, replacing President of Namibia, Dr. Hage Geingob, who got the award last year.

The Burj CEO Award is given every year by the International CLUB of CEOs, whose committee choose awardees with unbiased sense of judgment on visible contributions of select few to global developments in their fields of endeavour.

Billed to hold in Atlanta, United State of America (U.S.A.), the event is an annual event that began in Dubai in 2006.

This year’s ceremony will host representatives of the White House, governors, states’ assemblies, Jesse Jackson, Andrew Young and no fewer than 700 delegates from 32 countries.

Meanwhile, Kachikwu will be conferred with the Honorary Citizen of Georgia Award from the state of Georgia and Maryland in the U.S.A.
