KADUNA Electricity Company (KADC) has warned religious leaders, under the umbrella of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Jamartu Nasir Islam (JNI) against evading payment of electricity bills in worship centres, saying the company is prepared to sanction offenders.

KADC officials in charge of North West zone, comprising Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara, raised the alarm over unpaid electricity bills by various places of worship in the states.

Corporate Affairs Manager of Kaduna Electric, Alhaji Abdulazeez Abdullahi, said mosques, churches and other religious institutions are obliged, like other electricity users, to pay their electricity bills every month.
