Kano residents lauds Barau for federal projects, scholarships
Some residents of Kano have commended the Deputy Senate President, Sen.Barau Jibrin, for attracting federal presence in the state and awarding scholarship to indigent students.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the residents gave the commendation during the inauguration of the distribution of admission letters to the beneficiaries of foreign scholarship.
Malam Hamisu Isa, a civil servant, commended the lawmaker for giving the people of the state the required representation in the Red Chamber.
Isa also encouraged him to maintain the laudable gesture throughout his stay at the National Assembly.

Also speaking, Mrs Amina Musa, a trader, lauded Jibrin for fulfilling his campaign promises and called on other politicians in the country to emulate him.
Musa further urged the Senator to carry the members of his constituency along irrespective of party affiliations.
Abubakar Lawan, a resident, also thanked him for empowering his constituents, providing scholarship, as well as executing meaningful constituency projects.
A parent of one of the scholarship beneficiaries, Nura Muhammad, showered encomiums on the senator, saying that the residents of the state had benefited immensely in the last eight years.

NAN reports that Jibrin has awarded postgraduate foreign scholarships to 70 indigent students in AI, Forensic, Robotics Sciences and Cyber security.
