Kebbi senatorial candidate accuses politicians of using youths for thuggery
A former director general of the Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Kebbi South, Benjamin Dicky, has cautioned politicians against using youths for political thuggery.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, the PDP candidate said using youths who are the leaders of tomorrow as political thugs is not helpful to society, as such jeopardises their futures.
Dicky, who is from Zuru Emirate, vowed to form a synergy with the relevant authorities at the federal level to bring succour to the area and state at large, promising to revive the abandoned tourism sector, especially the Argungu Fishing Festival, Zuru Ahuloal Festival, among others, while also working on the cultural heritages in the state.
He thank the people of Yauri and Zuru for their support and cooperation towards his ambition, assuring that he would not forget them if elected.
