Kogi StateCommissioner kidnapped by unidentified gunmen
THE Kogi State Commissioner for Land and Housing, Mr. Steven Maiyaki, has been abducted by yet-to-be identified gunmen.
He was kidnapped on his way to his farm in Osara, Adavi Local Council of the State in the early hours of Sunday morning.
This is coming barely one week after a High Court Judge Justice Samuel Obayomi of Ebogogo High Court in Adavi Local Council was abducted after his orderly Corporal Usman Musa was shot dead on the spot.
The kidnappers of the judge have demanded N150 million as ransom and he is yet to be left off the hook of his captors.
The Police Public Relations officer, PPRO, Collins Adebayo, when contacted, confirmed the incidence but said he was yet to be fully briefed on the details. The State has been notorious for kidnapping of Government officials including foreigners in recent times.
