The Kogi State government has pledged to spend N33 million to provide roads and electricity to three communities.

The projects would be executed under the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP), wholly funded by the Kogi State Government.

Speaking during the presentation of cheques to the communities, Governor Yahaya Bello, said his administration would continue to fund the agency to enable it to provide critical infrastructures in the communities across the state.

The governor who was represented by the Auditor General of the state, Yakubu Okala, urged the communities to ensure the safety of the infrastructures to attract more government patronage.

Speaking also, the General Manager of Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Chief Dauda Momoh,  said the projects would bring rapid development to the communities.

He noted that this set of community projects is the second to be funded by the state government after the closure of World Bank funding for CSDP last year.

Speaking further he said, the first set of ten community development projects have been completed and are fully in use across the state.

The benefiting communities are Odu-Ajaruwaeke, Odu-Ikaka and Harmony from Dekina and Ajaokuta Local Councils.
