Kwara intensifies preparations for ninth trade fair

Preparations are in top gear to host another Trade Fair in Kwara State between December 8 to 20, 2022, Chairman, Kwara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, (KWACCIMA), Alhaji Olalekan Ayodimeji, has confirmed.

He told a press conference, yesterday, in the capital that the organisers expect participants in this year’s exhibition to surpass that of 2021.

Ayodimeji said the event, with the theme, “Harmony Through Commerce,” would be declared open by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

He added that KWACCIMA was working with other relevant stakeholders and organisations, including the National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) Kwara State chapter and Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) Kwara/Kogi Zone for a successful outing.

The KWACCIMA boss lauded the governor for ensuring the eighth leg of the fair was a success, urging the state government to replicate same this year.

“KWACCIMA has also secured the endorsement and goodwill of the governor to host the fair on a yearly basis for consistency and more popularity. This will also lead to increase in attendance besides becoming a n event of international reckoning,” he added.

Ayodimeji, who recalled that the last fair enjoyed participation from at least 100 business owners and visitors, expressed confidence that the coming one attract over 200 product exhibitors and 500 visitors from within and outside Kwara.

He said the intention to host had begun yielding positive result, with a number of local and foreign industrialists already showing interest to invest in agriculture and mineral resources.
