Ladi-Lak institute alumni seek restoration of school’s glory
The ‘Ancient and Modern’ class of the old students alumni of Ladi-Lak Institute, Yaba, have met in Lagos to forge a formidable body of the school.
The special gathering had in attendance the old pupils styled as ancient, led by Gen. Ike Nwachukwu (rtd), Mr. Ogedengbe and Chief Kolawole Akinola of the 1956 set.
The gathering resolved to protest the continuous presence of Methodist Primary School on the premises of the institute with a further resolve to restore the lost glory of the school, thereby avoiding the unfortunate infrastructural predicament facing the sister school at Bariga.
Other old pupils of the school in attendance include Ven. Gbolahan Lewis, Mr. Ayo Iroche, Prof. Tuthonu Amosu, Dr. J.K. Ladipo, Mr. Shex Ladipo, Dr. (Mrs.) Doris Abariko, Mrs. Taiwo Yemisi Ogundipe, Mrs. Edna Falase, Akin Akinwale and many of the oldies, also following on Zoom.
On the side of the modern, Mr. Dotun Akinyosoye, president of the association, Mr. Linus Ibekwe, Catherine Makwe, and Mr. David Fayemi, led the younger generation.
