The Accord governorship candidate in Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja has reiterated that the ruling party in the state lacks the depth and the vision to move the state forward.

In a statement by his media aide, Akanmu Adeyanju, the AP candidate accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration of wasting the state resources on frivolous projects that have no bearing to the welfare of the people.

According to him, most of the projects embarked upon by the government were abandoned after spending the state resources on them stressing that the only way out for the people is to use their votes to stop the party in Saturday’s governorship election in the

Ladoja who insisted that the Abiola Ajimobi administration has not done much to justify the confidence the people repose in it, gave examples of the six models schools that could not move from the foundation level after demolishing existing schools.

Besides, he listed other abandoned projects to include the Government House Banquet Hall, Technical University; Five Star Hotel; Ogbomoso dualized roads; Oyo-Iseyin road and the Saki roads.

The Accord governorship candidate pleaded with the people of the state not to be deceived by the empty promises of the governor as he seeks re-election
He called on the people of the state to vote for him and other Accord Party candidates, promising to put the welfare of the people in the front burner if elected as governor in Saturday’s election

Meanwhile, the Coalition of the Civil Society for Change in Oyo state has warned of the dire consequences of using any government agencies or groups to tamper with the decision of the people of the state in Saturday elections.

The Coalition in a press release signed by its President, Comrade Adebola Ojeniyi stated that the will of the people is supreme and that no political party should attempt to use the power of incumbency and inducements to manipulate the result of the forthcoming governorship and state house of assembly elections.
Comrade Ojeniyi said the will of the people is sacred as clearly demonstrated in the case of General Buhari, and that the same process of change by the will of the people should be allowed in Oyo state without any manipulation by external forces and collaborators.
According to him, the people of the state demands from INEC a level playing ground for all the political parties as any attempt to favour any of the political parties will be resisted and exposed.

Comrade Ojeniyi said this advice is necessary in view of the various hints across the state that a political party has already concluded plans with top officials of INEC to rig the election and subvert the will of people.
