Olubadan-Designate, Rashidi Ladoja, has called for unity among traditional rulers in Yorubaland, urging them to prioritise peaceful coexistence, promotion and preservation of Yoruba culture and traditions.
“The Yoruba people have rich cultural values cherished across the world. Nothing must be done to tarnish or diminish these legacies,” he said. He made the appeal at the weekend while receiving the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa in Osun State, Oba Michael Adeyemi Odunayo Adeagbo Ajayi Arowotawaya II, who paid a congratulatory visit to Ibafan.
The visitor congratulated Ladoja on his imminent ascension to the prestigious Olubadan throne, praying for his prosperous reign. He prayed for a reign marked by peace, unity, and prosperity, not only for Ibadanland but for the Yoruba nation as a whole.

Your emergence is a testimony of divine providence, wisdom, and the collective trust of the great people of Ibadan.He also emphasised the historical significance of the Olubadan stool, noting that it stands as a symbol of Yoruba strength, heritage, and leadership.
The monarch prayed that Oba Ladoja’s reign be long, prosperous, and filled with impactful achievements that uplift the dignity of the Yoruba race.
