Lagos Assembly confirms nominees for various agencies
Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointments of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s nominees into various agencies.
The confirmed nominees include members of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), state Auditor-General, General Manager of the Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB), and the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).
The appointments followed the screening of the candidates by ad hoc committee of the House.
Presenting the report, the Chairman of the committee, Fatai Mojeed, stated that the committee conducted a thorough screening on the qualifications and experiences of each nominee, adding that they are all capable of holding government offices.
The appointees are: Chairman, Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), Justice Bola Okikiolu Ighile; Lagos State Auditor General, Mr Adetola Muyiwa John; General Manager Lagos State Electricity Board, Balogun Kamaldeen Abiodun Temidayo; and the Executive Secretary, Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, Mrs Feyisayo Alayande.
The Deputy Speaker, Mrs Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, who presided over the plenary, confirmed the nominees, adding that the development underscores the Assembly’s commitment to enhancing governance and delivering quality leadership across Lagos State.
