Lagos presents guide plan for Ketu-Ijanikin excised village
Lagos State Government has presented development plans for Ketu-Ijanikin excised Village in Oto-Awori to the stakeholders.
The state’s Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, while presenting the report in Ketu-Ijanikin Village Square at the weekend, said the area was one of nine excised villages where preparation of development guide plans was ongoing.
Salako, who was represented by Director, Development Matters in the ministry, Saheed Olabamiji Animasahun, explained that the Ketu-Ijanikin development guide plan would cover 20 years.
Meanwhile, representative of the consultants, Urban Planning Smart Solutions Limited, Ayodele Adediran, urged the people of Ketu-Ijanikin to take advantage of the life-long opportunity and give their co-operation for timely delivery of the project.
The Onijanikin of Ijanikin Kingdom, Oba Momodu Afolabi Asafa, thanked the Lagos State Government for deeming it fit to prepare a plan that would moderate the development of the town, adding that the entire axis looks forward to more projects from the state.
