Lagos Speaker hails Adeshina’s re-election as NGE President

Lagos, April 28, 2015 (NAN) Mr Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), on Tuesday commended the Nigerian Guild of Editors for its re-election of Mr Femi Adeshina as President of the body.
Ikuforiji gave the commendation in a release signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rotimi Adebayo, which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

He described the re-election as a “good tiding’’ for the continued growth and development of the Nigerian media.
“The re-election of a veteran and highly cerebral practising journalist and editor like Adeshina has come to confirm to us all that the future of the Nigerian media is very bright indeed.

“It also goes to assure us all that the Nigerian media is on the right path to growth and development,’’ he said.
Ikuforiji said that it would be on record that members of the Guild under the leadership of its re-elected president enabled the nation to have free and fair election.
The speaker also commended the Nigerian media as a whole for the patriotic role it played during the general election.
