LAPO takes free healthcare to rural communities

The Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO), has provided no fewer than 61 indigent rural dweller free surgical operations during her Community Health Outreach, where a total of 1314 patients in its medical care outreach progamme have so far undergone various medical screening, test and others diagnosed of various ailments.

Executive Director (LAPO), Sabina Idowu-Osehobo said the free health programme was aimed at providing healthcare services to people in dire need of healthcare in the rural communities and those who are also unable to afford and access healthcare services in their communities.

Idowu-Osehobo said, “a total of 1314 patients undergone various medical screening, test and treated while 61 patients diagnosed of various ailments were referred to University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Central hospital, Benin and other reputable private hospitals in the state for surgical operations and treatment.”
