LASAA, foundation donates school bags, books to Ojodu Primary School pupils
The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA), in collaboration with the Omoo Dadaa Foundation, has distributed school bags and books to pupils at Ojodu Primary School yesterday.
This initiative, part of the “Back to School” programme, aims to promote education and environmental sustainability. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Segun Odunmbaku, Managing Director of LASAA, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, and Mr Niyi Dada, Founder of Omoo Dadaa Foundation.
The initiative highlighted an innovative approach to recycling used flex materials from advertising billboards into durable school bags. The bags and essential books would aid students in their learning journey as the new school term commences.
Odunmbaku praised the community partnership, highlighting the positive impact on education. He expressed his desire for similar initiatives to benefit more schools across the LCDA.
Akiolu reiterated LASAA’s commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability. He confirmed that LASAA will continue to support such community-focused programmes.
Dada noted the foundation’s dedication to solutions that blend social good with environmental responsibility. He urged the students to make the most of the resources provided.
The “Back to School” initiative exemplifies the ongoing partnership between LASAA and Omoo Dadaa Foundation. It serves as a model for sustainable community development through public-private partnerships. Several other schools are scheduled to benefit from this initiative in the future.
