LG chair hails Kogi lawmaker, Ohere, on birthday

The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has congratulated Senator Abubakar Sadiq Ohere on his birthday, describing him as a committed public servant and a politician with a clear vision for development.

In a statement issued in Kabba on Saturday and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Omofa John, the council chairman praised Senator Ohere for his dedication to the progress of Kogi Central Senatorial District and the state at large.

Zacchaeus recalled Senator Ohere’s tenure as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and later as Commissioner for Works and Housing under former Governor Yahaya Bello, noting that he demonstrated consistent commitment to service and infrastructural development during his time in the state executive council.

“I am delighted to join family, friends and well-wishers to celebrate the Most Distinguished Senator, Engr. Abubakar Ohere, on the occasion of his birthday,” the statement read. “As a reputable engineer, seasoned administrator, and committed politician, your contributions to the development of Kogi State are noteworthy.”

He further described Ohere as a figure known for humanitarian gestures and service to others, adding that his example continues to inspire many within and outside the state.

The council chairman prayed for continued good health and more years of fruitful service for the senator, expressing hope that he would remain a source of guidance and leadership to future generations.
