Libyan rivals to sign UN-backed peace deal Dec 16: delegates

Representatives of Libya’s rival parliaments will sign a UN-sponsored deal on December 16 on the formation of a national unity government, delegates from the two sides said Friday.

The conflict-wracked country has had two administrations since August 2014, when an Islamist-backed militia alliance overran Tripoli, forcing the recognised government to take refuge in the east.
