A 32-YEAR-OLD man and a horticulture apprentice, Abeng Oji, who allegedly defiled a six-year-old girl, has been arraigned at an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on one-count charge bordering on defilement of a minor.

The suspect, who hails from Obubra in Cross River State, was granted N5 million bail, with two sureties in like sum.

The Prosecuting Police Officer, Feddy Asu, told the court that the suspect committed the alleged offence on January 30, this year at 06: 00 a.m. at Ologolo community in Eti-Osa Council of the state.

Asu also said the accused, who unlawfully had carnal knowledge of a six-year-old girl, had access to the house of the girl, being an apprentice of her father.

“The accused had access to the girl’s house, therefore, had unlawful carnal knowledge of the girl, after finding out that the parents went out,” he said.
