AS the festive season draws close, a renowned automobile firm, Mandilas Motors, has urged motorists to conduct thorough checks on their vehicles to avoid road traffic accidents usually happen during the period.

Speaking with The Guardian in Port Harcourt, the company’s aftersales Manager, Onuama Mathew Ibe, said the deplorable state of Nigerian roads causes much wear and tear on vehicles saying that motorists should carry out proper maintenance and standard services to enhance safety.

For this reason therefore, Ibe disclosed that Mandilas has decided to offer good discounts for its services ranging from engine diagnosis, free vehicle health check, rain season check among others in Port Harcourt.

He advised motorists in the state to take advantage of the opportunity and improve the roadworthiness of their vehicles as they prepare to travel for Christmas.

“Obviously, bad roads cause wear and tear of vehicles and in our country today, we have several bad roads. That weakens the break pads, damages the tires and other vital parts of the vehicle.”

“So, as we are getting ready for the festive period, it is important, vehicle owners put their cars in proper condition to ensure safety driving and avoid loss of life during the period.”
