Many are feared dead after a twin explosion rocked Jos the capital of Plateau State within the interval of five minutes.

It was gathered that the first explosion went off around 9:14 at a Bauchi road shopping complex a few meters before the Bauchi park and University of Jos.

A second explosion was heard about four minutes later. The second explosion was said to have occurred close to the popular Yan Taya mosque where Sheikh Sani Yahaya does his Ramadan tafsir.

An eyewitness said the first explosion went off at a popular food seller’s shop known as Hajiya Talatu.

Idris who was panting having ran from the scene of the incident said customers usually gather by the food seller’s shop in the evenings to buy food and say the Tarawi prayers.

A Hilux van belonging to Sheikh Jingir and other private vehicles conveying the dead and injured to the hospital.
