Medela Numen Ventures unveils products to combat chronic diseases

To combat chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, diarrhea and cardiovascular diseases, Medela Numen Ventures has unveiled two products, nutrimeal and nutrifast to aid Nigerians battling these ailments.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the company, Mr. Mgbelede Onuakpunwa said nutrimeal is a great swallow that has adequate dietary fibre and zero simple sugar content. “This means that there is no inflated blood sugar hike when you eat the meal. This makes it better than other swallows like wheatmeal, fufu, garri, and yam among others.“

“This helps to reduce blood LDL cholesterol levels thus reducing your risk for high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases.”

According to him, type two diabetes is mostly brought about by high carbohydrate intake and an inactive lifestyle and management of it by reducing carbohydrate and exercising at least 30-45mins a day is essential.
