Melaye Queries Allocation Of Abuja Plots To Jonathan
CHAIRMAN of the Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Dino Melaye, has alleged that former President Goodluck Jonathan was allocated a plot of land within an area in Maitama district of Abuja that was reserved as green zone.
Melaye, during a budget defence meeting between his committee and FCT Minister, Muhammed Bello, claimed that the area was supposed to provide tourist attraction for foreign visitors, saying his committee had ordered a stoppage of construction and buildings on the area.
Other names mentioned by Melaye as beneficiaries of plots in that area include the former Justice minister, Muhammed Bello Adoke; former Bauchi State governor, Isa Yuguda; acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus; late National Security Adviser (NSA), Andrew Azazi.
