Miele opens Experience Centre in Lagos

German manufacturer of premium household appliances, Miele, brings its legacy of innovation, design, and craftsmanship to Nigeria with the inauguration of the Miele Experience Centre (MEC) in Victoria Island, Lagos on the 4th and 5th of April 2025. This experience centre is set to redefine how Nigerian households experience luxury living, offering an immersive journey into the world of Miele’s renowned quality and style.

The experience centre inauguration also marks Miele’s celebration of over 125 years of excellence. The Miele Experience Centre allows visitors to discover appliances that blend cutting-edge technology with timeless design. Located in Lagos’ business district, the MEC is an oasis of inspiration for homemakers, interior designers, and culinary enthusiasts. Visitors will be treated to live product demonstrations featuring Miele’s iconic steam ovens, coffee machines, and high-performance vacuum systems. The experience centre also hosts curated culinary experiences, allowing guests to sample gourmet dishes prepared with Miele’s innovative appliances.

The two-day inauguration of the newly renovated Miele Experience Centre celebrated sophistication, innovation, and excellence, bringing together an illustrious gathering of key stakeholders, including business partners, designers, architects, industry thought leaders, valued clients, and the media. The event commenced with an exclusive press parley, where the Miele team shared the brand’s rich heritage and significant contributions to the Nigerian market for the first time. This session gave the media an in-depth understanding of Miele’s pioneering technology and unwavering commitment to sustainability. This was followed by a live baking session by Chef Dera Anazodo, Executive Chef and partner at Jaya Cravings, specializing in world fusion food from the International Culinary Center, New York.

The first day continued with an intimate and immersive culinary showcase led by celebrity and valued Miele Chef partners: Chef Tilewa Odedina, a Le Cordon Bleu-trained Chef, nutrition-focused culinary entrepreneur, and the head of Culinary and Restaurants at FoodCourt Nigeria and Chef Soliat, a seasoned nutritionist and the founder of Nulas Kitchen, which highlights the strong relationship Miele has built within the Nigerian culinary industry. Notable personalities such as Sisi Yemmie, Chef Cupid, Anjola Awosika, Ify Mogekwu, Fasanmi Afolabi, Evelyn Edumoh and Gbemi Giwa added their flair to the evening. The event embodied Miele’s dedication to luxury, style, and innovation, with every detail reflecting the brand’s promise of excellence.

The second day welcomed trade partners, designers, architects, and clients for an elegant evening highlighting Miele’s exceptional reception and bespoke experiences featuring a live cooking session by Chef Rahila Lawore, a chef, entrepreneur, restaurateur, Founder of Rahila & Co and Co-Founder of Canvas Concept Space. This live session showcased the beauty and efficiency of Miele appliances, demonstrating their capabilities in a real-world setting. Distinguished guests included the HRH Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Oba of Lagos Chief Council, Mr. Gerald Wolf, Deputy German Consul, Mr. Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Babatunde Sofola, Managing Director of Baron Architecture, Mr. Hassan Yasbeck, Managing Director of Interstyle Homes, Chief Emmanuel C.
