According to the Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade, during an inspection tour of the facility in company of his Agriculture counterpart, Segun Ayerin, he said: “The Mimiko administration has succeeded with the abattoir project for the use of the people of the state and its now ready for commissioning.”
Also speaking, Ayerin said the facility which boasts of 78 slaughter slabs and 12 components, including office complex, meat quality control, public toilet, laboratory, administrative block, slaughtering hall and modern water supply system, would go a long way in improving the quality of meat being offered to the public.
