Mimiko hails Lamido, Yuguda over airports
THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum has hailed former Alhaj Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Alhaji Isa Yuguda of Bauchi and Dakingari of Kebbi for their foresight in building airports for their people.
In a statement in Abuja Wednesday, Chairman of the Forum, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, said the vision and boldness of the former PDP governors was today yielding dividends for the people of the affected states.
The statement signed by Mr. Patrick Okon of the Forum’s secretariat said pilgrims from the three states now board flights directly to perform Hajj without the stress of travelling initially to Kano or Sokoto states to perform their religious obligations.

Sheer waste. Is the state or airport economically viable? When will they airport get to a break even point – I guess not in the next 20 years. We must be real as a nation and not always political.
False solidarity!
We really do have dumbos as leaders! they don’t look at viability of projects before embarking on them. I strongly believe that a light rail linking Dutse and Kano, Bauchi and Jos is more viable than airports.
We will review and take appropriate action.
