The Ministry of Budget and National Planning has made public details of the controversial 2016 budget to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies(MDAs),by publishing figures allocated to each MDA.
However, dudget details of a number of MDAs were missing. These include the Federal Ministry of Environment, Solid Minerals, Women Affairs, Head of Service, Industry Trade and Investment, Health Ministry, Foreign Affairs Ministry. Others whose financial details were not stated include Works, Power and Housing, Communication and Technology
However, the Transportation Ministry under a code number 0229 of the appropriation document had N216,797,393,980bn as total allocation for 2016 budget, whereas overheads and Capital ventures had N1,302,713,886 bn and N202,00,000,000bn respectively. The Ministry of Defence however had N429,09,182,742bn as total allocation for 2016, but N23,608,043,545bn and N134,572,387,040 bn were entered for overheads and capitals respectively for the same year.
The National Assembly under code number 0112 of the appropriation budget had total budget of N115,000,000,000bn.Details of Personnel and Recurrent were entered as same N115,000,000,000.At the Federal Ministry of Education, the total allocated budget was N483,376,895bn. However, Personnel cost had N349,839,880,172,even as Overheads had N19,716,496,723bn but Statutory Transfers had N71,110,000,000.
The Budget and National Planning with code 0156 had total allocation of N15,999,128,516bn,Overheads N312,193,957,,Capitals N6,080,000,000bn.However,the Federal Civil Service Commission under code number 0147 had N1,053,055,043bn as total allocation for 2016,whereas Personnel, Overheads and Capitals had N619,694,978, N416,281,157, and N17,078,908 respectively.
The Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment under code number 0227 had a total budget of N13,397,589,915 bn. However, the cost od Personnel, Overheads, Capitals were N6,997,734,425bn,819,855,490, and N5,580,000,000bn respectively. The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sorts Development under code number 0513 had total budget of N75,476,387,061 bn. Personnel, Overheads, Capitals gulped N60,046,332,399bn,N10,770,054,662bn and N4,660,000,000bn each.
Science and Technology Ministry with code number 0228 had N53,743,337,717 bn entered for 2016 total budget. Personnel, Overheads, Capitals had,N22,860,343,651bn,N2,992,994,066bn,and N27,890,000,000 each.
The Information and Culture Ministry under code number 0123 had total budget of N54,162,778,886bn for 2016.Personnel,Overheads and Capitals hadN34,739,454,863bn,N4,433,324,033bn, and N5,990,000,000 respectively.
The Federal Ministry of Finance under code number 0220 had total budget allocation of N1,486,512,101,559bn.Overheads,Debt services and Capital cost include N3,779,105,828bn, N1,475,320,000,000 bn, and N818,200,000 respectively.
Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources under code number 0232 had N62,115,123,639 bn appropriated for 2016.Personnel,Overheads,Capital cost had N53,170,602,031bn,N1,295,916,547bn,and N7648,605,061bn respectively.
Office of National Security Adviser under code 0157 had total allocated sum of N90,360,068,052bn for 2016.Personnel,Overheads,Capital allocation include:N48,342,298,158bn,N9,387,769,894bn, and N32,620,000,000bn respectively.
The Federal Ministry of Agriculture under code number 0215 of the 2016 appropriation budget had total allocation of N76,763,672,275bn.Overheads,Capitals had N1,699,622,233bn and N47,001,125,634bn each.
The Niger Delta Ministry under code number 0451 had total of N67,382,596,554bn appropriated for 2016.Personnel,Overheads,Statutory Transfers, and Capital cost had N1,242,850,424bn,N808,085,341,N41,050,000,000bn and N24,281,660,699bn respectively.
Ministry of Communication Technology under code number 0158 had total budget of N15,997,128,516bn for 2016 fiscal year. Personnel, Overheads and Capital cost are to gulp N9,604,934,559bn,N312,193,967,and N6,080,000,000bn respectively.
Ministry of Special Duties which had no specified cost for Personnel, however had a total of N72,894,125 entered for the fiscal year.
