In a related development, some lawmakers in Cross River south shunned a meeting to endorse Governor Ben Ayade.

They were absent at the town hall endorsement meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akamkpa Local Council Area.

Those absent at the meeting were Hon. Daniel Auquo and Senator Gershom Bassey.

Also in Akpabuyo, Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Calabar south, Senator Bassey and Pastor Essien Ayi were absent.
