The Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1, yesterday, condemned the alleged attack by some miscreants on officials of the National Population Commission (NPC) in Ibadan North West Local Council of Oyo State, urging cooperation from all and sundry for a hitch-free exercise.

Speaking through the Otun Olubadan, High Chief Lekan Balogun after the monthly meeting of the Olubadan-in-Council held at his Popoyemoja, Ibadan palace, Oba Adetunji said the commission needed the utmost understanding of the community leaders and residents alike to make the trial census a success.

NPC’s State Director, Olajire Balogun, had raised the alarm at the weekend, alleging that his officials were being encumbered in the ongoing demarcation exercise in the council area.

He stressed that the challenges would continue to hamper the commission’s work if it does not enjoy the cooperation of the residents.
