The Islamic scholar also urged the Muslim faithful to unite and coexist in peace with others as specified in the tenets of Islam.

“I would want to urge the federal government not to heed the call to remove the Arabic inscriptions when rebranding the Naira notes. It is important to note that the inscription has a significant importance to the Muslim community in the nation,” he said.

The Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero used the occasion to task the Muslim faithful to commit Kano and the nation in general to prayers ahead of 2023 general elections.
