NAPTIP Benin Strengthens Operations, Gets New Commander
The Benin Zone of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficing in Persons (NAPTIP), yesterday said its officers and men would henceforth embark on jogging exercises at intervals to keep fit for the job of checking the activities of traffickers, which sometimes include physical activities.
The new zonal commander, Odita Ebenzer, stated this when he formally took over the zone from his predecessor, Mrs. Cordelia Ebiringa who has been in charge of the zone in the last three years.
In a statement signed by the Zone’s Head, Public Enlightenment Unit, Nduka Nwanwene quoted the new commander as saying that he was posted to Benin to work and would, therefore, not tolerate indolence and indiscipline at work place.
He said the only way the command can maintain its high ranking among other commands is for all to exhibit good works habits with strong determination to excel, adding that he would build on the achievements of his predecessor without compromising the value of dedication to duty and excellent relationship by all.
