Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed the 2021 appropriation bill of N115,722,814,643.31.

The lawmakers upped the budget by N2.8 billion from the N112.92 billion earlier presented to it for consideration by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Speaker of the house, Ibrahim Balarabe, who announced the passage of the bill at plenary yesterday, commended the members for the support in ensuring quick passage.

Explaining the rationale behind the increment, the speaker said: “It is very salient for the house to review some allocations due to their importance.

In the budget, recurrent expenditure took N53,464,156,917 leaving N55,240,925,695 for capital projects.
