A HOUSE of Representatives member, Oladipupo Adebutu, ‎has said the National Assembly is not at loggerheads with President Muhammadu Buhari over ways to move the country forward.

Adebutu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member representing Remo Federal Constituency in Ogun State, ‎said the legislature was rather committed to nation building through its law-making, representation and oversight‎ activities.

He spoke shortly after his installation as the Otunba Nawoola of Odogbolu by the Alaye of Odogbolu, Oba Adedeji Onagoruwa.

The event, which also featured the installation of‎ his wife, Adenike, as the Yeye Otunba Nawoola, was attended by traditional rulers, political bigwigs, captains of industries and eminent personalities across the state.

Adebutu noted that the beauty of democracy lay in plurality of opinions and views, stressing that disagreement between the legislature and executive should not often be misconstrued.
