As part of its commitment to deepen the knowledge of science in schools, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has trained over 1,000 teachers from secondary schools across the country through its Teachers Development Training Programme (TDTP).

The executive secretary, Mr. Simbi Wabote, disclosed this at the closing ceremony of the second phase of the programme in Katsina State. Represented by the Director, Planning Research and Statistics, Mr. Patrick Obah, the executive secretary said the board’s sponsorship of the programme was borne out of its desire to create new models in the quest for academic knowledge, adding that training of teachers would position the students in the knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
