National Secretary of National Conscience Party (NCP) Ayodele Akele has called on President Muhammadu Buhari and others to lay good example for others to follow. Akele who was the governorhip candidate of NCP in the 2015 general elections made this call at the seventh procession, rally and roadshow held in honour of late civil rights activist and lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi yesterday in Lagos.

According to Akele: “We owe Gani Fawehinmi the duty to espouse and bring to public domain what he stood for and what he died for and what he would have done if he were to be alive; we all knew Gani as a one man riot squad and a tireless lawyer and activist who would have made a difference.

Unfortunately, the shoe he left behind is too big to step into, that is why there is lamentation, which is why we are in quagmire in Nigeria today, Gani is irreplaceable.

“We are doing this to carry on his legacy in our own little way, we are trying all we could to let Nigerians especially the young generation to know what he was in his lifetime as a man whose philosophy and what he stood for is worthy of emulation; as a matter of fact, that is what we are trying to remind Nigerians that we have missed an enigma, an icon and a fighter in Nigeria.
