NECO releases 2015 SSCE results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results for the examination conducted for private candidates between November and December last year.

The Registrar/Chief Executive, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, who made the announcement yesterday at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State, said that there was slight improvement in the performance of candidates that sat for the examinations, especially in the core subjects of English Language and Mathematics.

According to the NECO boss, of 47,507 candidates that sat for English Language, 29,718, representing 62.55% obtained credit and above.

Similarly, Garba said in Mathematics, 47,554 candidates took the subject, with 32,484, representing 68.30%, scoring credit and above.

The registrar further said that 49,389 candidates went for Biology with 17,227, representing 43.73% coming out at credit level and above, while of the 22,284 that wrote Chemistry, 11,951 or 53.63% came out with credit and above.
