NECO will no longer process certificate reprint requests after one year – Registrar
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has said that one year after the issuance of the original certificate, the council will no longer entertain requests for a reprint.
NECO’s registrar and chief executive, Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, made this disclosure in a statement on Tuesday.
Wushishi said the exam body wishes to inform its numerous candidates that requests for correction of results will be entertained within one month after the release of such results.
He noted that the request for a reprint of the certificate will now attract a fee of #50,000.00, subject to review.
The registrar said, “The National Examinations Council (NECO) wishes to inform its numerous candidates, clients, and members of the general public that: i. One year after issuance of the original certificate, the council will no longer entertain requests for a reprint of the same.
“ ii. Requests for correction of results will be entertained within one month after the release of such results. iii. The request for a reprint of the certificate will now attract a fee of ₦50000 only, subject to review.”
Wushishi added that the council is not liable for any registration error committed by any school or candidate.
