The National Emergency management Agency (NEMA) on Friday said it had provided drugs and medical consumables for the treatment of victims of the recent bombings in Maiduguri.

The NEMA North East Information Officer, Malam Abdulkadir Ibrahim, stated this in a statement in Maiduguri.

He noted that “NEMA has provided drugs and medical consumables for the treatment of the people injured in the recent bombings which occurred in Maiduguri, the Borno capital.

“The drugs were presented to the pharmaceutical departments of the Maiduguri General Hospital, the Umaru Shehu Specialist Hospital, the late Mamman Shuwa Memorial Hospital and the Nigerian Air Force Clinic, Dalori.’’

Ibrahim said that the gesture was aimed at assisting hospitals in the treatment of the victims, most of them less privileged. (NAN)
