The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) has cautioned Nigerians against installing sub-standard and uncertified electricity meters in residential buildings and workplaces.

It also warned Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) and other meter providers against distributing untested and uncertified meters to consumers, saying that any of them found wanting would be appropriately sanctioned.
