According to Yaro, during the empowerment presentation yesterday in Lagos, CEF was born out of Cakasa Nigeria Company Ltd, and it emanated as a way of giving back to the society from the successful achievements of the parent company.
The widows were given resources to start businesses and N50, 000 cash gifts each.
The widows, who were filled with excitement and gratitude, displayed their appreciation with a promise to make judicious use of the resources given and in return, train others who did not have the privilege.
Yaro further explained that prior to the grant presentation, CEF paid to train the widows on skill acquisitions through their partners Ojulogearts Leadership and Development Initiatives.
He however called on governments, individuals and private organisations especially, to create and deploy support fund for the needy and less privileged in the country, because as little as a percent, can go a long way to change the environment and condition of these people.
