NHF to hold summit on food, drinks, others

The Nigeria Heart Foundation (NHF) has disclosed plans to organise a national submit on food, drinks and cardiovascular health in the country.

The summit, which will focus on science, evidence, manufacturers and consumer advocacy due to rising cardiovascular disease in the country and the importance of prevention strategies through promotion of healthy diets, is slated for March 15, 2022 in Lagos.

Executive Director of NHF, Dr. Kingsley Akinroye, said at a media briefing organised ahead of this year’s summit, that it will be a gathering of stakeholders from government, international organisations, civil society groups, industries, and private sector, among others.

Director General of MAN, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, said MAN would mobilise its members, especially manufacturers in the food and beverages segment, to attend the summit in alignment with NHF’s vision.
