Niger Delta Avengers blow up Chevron’s oil wells
In spite of military presence in presence around oil installations in the Niger Delta, the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) early on Wednesday blew up oil wells belonging to Chevron.
“With the heavy presence of 100 Gunboats, 4 Warships and Jet Bombers NDA blew up Chevron Oil Well RMP 23 and RMP 24 3:44am this Morning,” the group announced on Twitter, claiming that oil wells RMP 23 and RMP 24 are Chevron’s highest producing wells.

The Avengers have emerged as most prominent militant in the Niger Delta region in 2016 with series of attacks launched on oil installations belonging to Shell, Chevron, ENI and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
The strikes have cut Nigeria’s output to a 20-year low, crashing daily crude production to 1.4 million barrels per day from 2.2 million bpd.

THE BEST OPTION IS CLEAR THE WHOLE AREA OF LIVING SOULS….
FLATTEN THE WHOLE AREA.
Because na your papa land. Oloshi.
After al these, what next?
Thess guys will collect surveillance contract , have money in their pocket and be silence.
God gave them. Look at Oman, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, etc….they did not merge into 170 million crowded nation. To your tents, o’ Israel
……to become ground zero?
Idiot/iriot.
Wrong, 1st zero in on the communities hosting them and then give them the Odi treatment! Not a single rat living there should be spared!
The mentality of a ‘genocidist’. We have always known that you people are below the Hutus of Rwanda. This proves the hollowness of your claim that your culture is the most ‘sophisticated’ in Africa. Advocating and cheering genocide are not characteristics of a developed culture.
They could be relocated to the Northeast after the reconstruction, moreso now that Sambisa has been cleared of human habitation?
I agree. Oil on no oil. The people require harsh pacification. It has to hurt really bad.
The way Abacha flattened the SW during his murderous reign, right?
Coward.
What a solution from one of our armchair analysts. Thank GOD for that.
Britain told Buhari that his tactics can not work. Realise that these boys are fighting a genuine cause even if they are doing it the wrong way, that is how they understood. As long as you see only stick as the means of settling this matter, you will soon die of BP, make use of carrot also. You are not the owner of the water. No man fights with fish in the water. You are in your gun boats cruising the water, the boys are ———–, i wount tell you. But they will be watching and smiling. Look, they do not want to kill any soldier, else, it is easy and every day you will be losing soldiers. Tell your men to stop troubling the local people in their villages. The boys are not there and you can not find them. Come down from your ivory tower and negotiate. All these pot belly Military Commanders are just making threats to please you. Be warned.
What genuine cause are they fighting for? If they are genuine, they should be asking for their leaders’ heads. Those are the people who have failed them.
As Boko Haram asked for the head of Buhari, head of Babangida, head of Atku, head of Danjuma, head of Gowon, or as the fulani herdsmen have asked for the head of their employees? Go and sit down. If you have not known their reason, then I do not know what to call you.
An a**hole like you maybe…
People are trying to fix Nigeria some idiots are trying to pull the country backwards.
We’ll soon for “Counter-Avengers” and go after them…
Your soon will continue to be till it becomes unsoon.
Talk is cheap. Which country are your trying to fix? Every index of human development has deteriorated drastically in the last one year and getting worse. Your time is up. The days of the locust is finally coming to an end. Tschuss
Ranting will not solve your problem. Your zoo economic situation is very bad. Sooner you will appreciate the generosity shown to your ungrateful zoo by the Niger-delta. Yorubats and Hausa/Foolanis and in panic mode. They cannot stand on their own when the zoo is dead.
The pillaging of their God-given resources to develop Lagos, Abuja, and others. If you don’t see it as a just cause, then it only means one thing: you may be a beneficiary of this loot.
We won’t feed illiterates that can’t help themselves any longer. Somalia beckons in the Hausa Fulani lives. Am so very sure that Kaduna refinery will never see crude Petroleum again unless Nigeria is restructured
ok, let us watch and see…
stupid people…desecrating your environment over what exactly? very soon a bottle of water will cost more than crude oil, what will you blow up then? Use common sense if the sense common in your world. The crude oil you’re fighting over will be worthless by the time you win or lose the war so what’s the point. OR you guys still living in caveman century?
Talk is cheap! Action belongs to the Avengers.
save some of those ‘actions’ for when economic dependency shifted away from crude oil.
zoo nigeria cannot produce tooth picks. “economic dependency shifted away from crude oil” is day dream at best. continue!!
….necessity is the mother of invention….rings true?
You better start inventing, because the clock has already started ticking.
how about when the crude oil is worthless?
crude oil can never be worthless. every industrial machine needs lubricant, petrol chemical, even electric car needs lubricant etc. It is a long list! Remember oil by-product eg. gas.
sure…those endless list still abounds today, difference will be that they’ll not be competing with fossil fuel need… That’s not massive in the world of economic terrorism I guess.
Who do you think will suffer the most? The North, first, then the SW. A disproportionate number of your people are working in this industry. We know the game your are playing. More than 80% of Shell staff are from the SW. Similar lopsidedness could be found in the other Oil companies. We have not paid attention to this because it a very easy problem to solve. All we have to do is shoot in the air and your fearful people will be scared to death and pack-up and leave. LOL
The crude has been used to build your Lagos. What else do you want?
We can’t wait for that day to come. Actually we are trying to speed it up. Because that is the only thing that is holding this artificial country together. Once the oil dries up, it would be ‘To Your Tents O Israel’.
We are waiting for your alternative source of gas to fire up energy for industrial growth. We have been hearing of alternative revenue sources while all your governors are still cueing monthly at Abuja to be fed from Niger Delta. We understood your worries
Stop crying, our neighboring country citizen, go an organize you people to start immediately cleaning up Mapo hall in Ibadan for your Oduduwa republic. There is no more time, I tell ya
crying??? don’t believe your imagination naughty boy ?
What has 50 years of supporting Nigeria with their resources exclusively earned them? They have been taken for granted. I will see how you will feel when the offshore Oil found off Lagos shores goes to rebuilding the NE for the next 30 years when the Lagos-Ibadan expressway lie in ruins.
…5-6 years of your brother as president did what outside making a few billionaires OR are you part of those whose feeding bottle has been removed?
No wahala. We have taken our wealth. Look elsewhere for survival. Parasites don’t have much choice than death if their benefactors ditch them so I understand your pains. Ndo o!
The resources are under my foot. God put it there for my own welfare. Are you envious? If so, you can change your name to Dokubo or Prieye or something and then move to SS. We are very accommodating people.
100 gun boats & 4 war ships indeed! That propaganda wouldn’t work… Bihari like i have said earlier is too soft on these idiots
The economic situation is hitting you hard. You will come to appreciate the generosity shown to ungrateful nigeria by the Niger-deltans.
Not her in the US, not at all, na you dey hungry
Oh, you are in the USA cleaning toilets and hiding from immigration police; your residence permit has expired poor boy!!, go home to your zoo nigeria and you will be disappointed by Fasola incompetence!
This guy is not in the US at all. He is one of those area boys that Tinubu used during the election and dumped afterwards. He is still hoping that a bone would be thrown his way one of these days.
Good to know. If you know him well, tell him that Tinubu has not receive any financial compensation from illiterate buhari for helping him come to power and as a result, nothing is gonna drop from Tinubu.
You are in the US, only in your weed induced imagination. If wishes were horses, area boys will be in the US indeed.
What is so big about the US? Been there done that.
It is @’70 that is making it look like a big deal by falsely claiming to be living there. It could have been Haiti or Somalia of Afghanistan, who cares.
The guy is cote de voir joor
This absentee citizens Na Una de like pour kerosene for fire.
But don’t tell me it won’t hurt your loved ones here.
Yes i agree. I dont think Buhari has used 4% of what he should be bringing to bear on this rascals.
I am telling you…
The days of the locust is up. You have been living on borrowed time. If you don’t work hard and get creative, then your best days are behind you. Niger Delta has finally decided to call your bluff. Go and find some other host, you parasite.
All Yoroba care about is the oil in the Niger Delta. The oil from the Delta was used to build Lagos and Abuja. But nobody ever asked, How come we do not have a genuine Marshall Plan to build a mega city in the Niger Delta. You tell me that you have been giving contracts upon contracts to rebuild the Niger Delta, but to whom were these contracts awarded to? You award a contract to a 419 to rebuild Niger Delta and you get your own kick back and then keep a blind eye to the work. Germany was genuinely rebuilt by the Americans, and if they were not serious Germany would have been worse that Niger Delta. The Nigerian government have stolen from NDelta people, so it is time to come to the round table for genuine restructuring of the country.
This news is nothing. Even women can blow up remotely located wells, some of the wells are one hour by boat from the oil platforms.
The FG should ratchet up their clamp down on the Niger Delta . More NSCDC boats and personnel should be deployed to complement the Nigerian Army deployments. there should be more intense patrols by the Nigerian Army gunboats. The money to finance this should come from the Amnesty programme which should be cancelled immediately. The NAF is still missing in action, even now some bombs should have started landing on suspected NDA camp sites
The screws should be tightened incrementally on the Niger delta from restricted movements to curfew and finally to full blown State of Emergency and a partial blockade.
The zoo military and NSCDC swimming skills will be tested in the creeks, you are warned!!
Odell!!!!
You seem not to look at the cost implications.
We are spending more fighting them than what we would have given them to protect the pipeline
When you keep silent, nobody can tell, but now that you have spoken , we all know that if your IQ was one less, you would have been watered.
capisci niente mugu has spoken
Sorry parasite, we have taken our resources. Somalia will be better than what is left of you. We now know who the real wailers are. Your illiterate president can’t help you. Hahahahaha!
If the FG should even try implementing what you’re suggesting, rest assured there will CIVIL WAR in Nigeria. Other tribes are watching after all if he can do it to them, why can’t he do it to us. And if PMB believes he can slaughter his way to obedience from Nigerian people, rest assured that other ethnic groups will rearm knowing full well that they will have to fight to survive in PMB’s Nigeria. I hope you’re prayers are answered. Let us see how Nigeria will work after they come to fruition.
So when we destroy our environment, and have no means to fish or farm what will we do next? Some of us think oil is everything but why would we not think that way when the government has only paid lip service to diversification for the past 46 years.
This violence bodes an ill wind for the Niger Delta, because those doing this do not care about the environment or the people, all they care about is the money, cars and women they will acquire once they are called to the negotiating table, the people in the village will continue to suffer, the boys they used will be forgotten and will hardly collect even the stipends the government may provide for them, the trainings that will be designed for them they will not benefit from it because the pseudo-activists and intellectuals will ensure their cronies are the ones who will get the training. If the agitators make too much noise they will send them for some half-baked training programs which will not benefit them in any way but portfolio businessmen from the region will be smiling home with jumbo contracts for training and empowerment that does not offer any real value as there will never be a proper plan of integrating the agitators into society, there will be know follow up and them the boys will realise that they were just cannon fodder in a twisted fight for relevance which they never truly had any input towards.
Now those activists and intellectuals who are just vampires are waiting once more in the wings, they are supporting this because it will be another opportunity for them to feather their nests.
God please open the eyes of the youths of the NDR to see that our enemies are within and not without, open our hearts and grant us wisdom to shun the mentality of entitlement and dependency that has hindered us from being great.
Have we suffered injustice, yes. But the greatest injustice has been from our so-called leaders who connived with others to steal our commonwealth, who refused to use what we got to do anything for our land but still beat the drums of war so that we filled with anger and frustration will dance this macabre dance.
Go to Osun state and join your jihadist aregbosola, that is where you belong.
After this crises, funds that should have gone to develop the Niger Delta will be used for cleanup and repairs of damaged infrastructure. These guys are morons.
Ride on guys.. No retreat! No surrender! Give the wicked man (Buhari) no peace.
He have nothing to offer to Nigerians.
“This is to show the whole world that Nigeria Military is good in harassing innocent Civilians”.
The irony is that in this time of low oil price we are investing the little we are making on bombs and ammunition rather than on people.
The Niger Delta miscreants are monumentally stupid and their wicked leaders are incurably corrupt. Double tragedy for the poor region. Let them keep blowing up the resources in their region till they have nowhere to live.
We will review and take appropriate action.
