Government Abubakar Bello of Niger on Friday said that action would be taken to complete articulated vehicles parks in the state.

He stated this in Maje in Suleja Local Government Area of the state. The governor said that this would eliminate the constant traffic gridlock, accidents and would provide a place of rest for road users.

We have designated Suleja, Mokwa and Tegina as places to have these parks for the vehicles and drivers.

The parks will be of international standard with restaurants, rest houses as well as bathrooms.

This will not only boost our internal revenue but the users too will feel the impact of this government on their business,’’ he said.

In the same vein, the governor also ordered for the removal of a fallen articulated vehicle at Maje village from the road, to give way to motorists and avoid any accident.

He directed the Chairman of Maje Motor Parks, Malam Tanimu Audu, to ensure the vehicle was removed with immediate effect.

Audu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), that, “This tanker was conveying goods to Minna, when it was involved in an accident due to the bad road’’.

Since the accident, the vehicle has remained here. Even the owner has abandoned it and it is causing hold-up.

I am happy that the state governor while travelling the road saw it and stopped his convoy and ordered it immediate removal,’’ he said. (NAN)
