Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation partners FMITI to enhance civil service reforms
The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation has entered into a partnership with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment (FMITI) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at improving public sector efficiency across Africa. This collaboration seeks to enhance the operational capabilities of FMITI by utilizing technology to deliver impactful results.
With a focus on advancing the public sector for broader economic growth, the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation accentuates the importance of effective public services as a foundation for prosperity.
The MoU prioritizes initiatives such as digital transformation and the professional development of public sector employees to improve service delivery.
The agreement was formalized during FMITI’s retreat, which brought together key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, including members of the Central Delivery Coordinating Unit, agency directors, heads of agencies, and external consultants.
At the signing ceremony, Mrs Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, Executive Vice Chair of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership and emphasised the need to digitize the office of the head of the civil service.
“Having successfully facilitated the digitalization of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, we are excited to extend our support to FMITI due to its crucial role in the socio-economic development of the country,” she stated.
Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, expressed her Ministry’s excitement about the partnership. She highlighted the remarkable digital transformation achieved by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation with the support of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation and expressed her eagerness to replicate this success in FMITI.
