Anambra State Government is mulling the idea of re-engaging some competent hands from the pool of disengaged staff members of the defunct Water Corporation to tackle epileptic water supply in the state.
The development, it was gathered, was a result of former staff members of the corporation, who approached the ministry for re-integration based on their belief that they still have certain skill-set to make regular supply of water possible.
The State Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Julius Chukwuemeka, who confirmed such request from the disengaged staff members, pointed out that if government deems it fit, its choice would be limited to those who have competences to drive the water scheme process.
Chukwuemeka further disclosed that the measure is in line with the determination of the Chukwuma Soludo administration to have square pegs in square holes to deliver on the mandate of finding practical, workable solutions towards efficient and effective service delivery in the state.
