
He disclosed yesterday that bilateral trade between the two countries from January to June 2019 reached $8.68 billion (about N3 trillion) with 20.7 per cent year-on-year growth.
According to him, China remains Nigeria’s largest source of imports and second-largest trading partner.
He noted that while Nigeria is the largest economy and most populous country in Africa, China is the fastest developing country in the world and that since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1971 and strategic partnership in 2005, the relationship between the two countries had remained sound.
